My husband has brought me three miniature roses so far. The first was a red one, then the white and finally the yellow. Red roses symbolize love and beauty. He brought home the white rose around the time of our wedding so, I believe that it symbolizes happy love. The yellow rose symbolizes joy, gladness, promise of a new beginning and I care. For more on the meaning of roses go to http://www.rkdn.org/roses/colors.asp. My red rose is recovering from being root bound and having an infestation of spider mites. It finally has one very small bud on it. You can tell if you have spider mites if you see tiny white webs underneath the leaves. The way you can fight spider mites is to put a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle of water and spray early in the morning or late in the evening. Do not spray when the sun is on the plants. The white and yellow roses are doing great with many buds. The red and white roses that you see up top were my wedding bouquet. Red and white roses together symbolize unity.
